It has been awhile since I have enjoyed a Broken Social Scene record. Maybe it took working with David Newfield again (it has been almost 20 years.) It is still quintesntial BSS with the trademark orchestra of instruments & sounds. The album is a moving plea to stay human and connected within a collapsing digital world. It is triumphant and by golly it’s my favorite album of the year so far.
And with Metric out with a new one and touring with Stars, maybe we will get a new one from Torquil and Amy.
